House Classic – Marshall Jefferson – Move Your Body

One of the earliest House tracks from Chicago in 1986. A true, proper, HOUSE track. Marshall Jefferson covered new ground with this track, adding a totally new sound to House music, adding a piano melody, an addictive bassline and catchy vocals.

Tune of the Week – Activa – Eclipse (Mat Zo Remix)

This week’s favourite tune is Mat Zo’s remix of “Eclipse”, a new track by Activa under his new name “Solar Movement” released on anjunabeats.

Redd Square – Digital Acoustics (Onouva Remix)

One of my favourite tracks right now, and features high on my Top 10 Tracks list is Redd Square – Digital Acoustics (Onouva Remix). I love the melody and it’s no surprise that it’s had big support from some of the biggest names in the trance scene – Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten to name a few.

Released around a month ago on “Monster Tunes”, you can buy the release on JunoDownload:

Tune of the Week – Estiva – I Feel Fine

This week’s favourite tune is a brand new release from young Dutch producer “Estiva” with “I Feel Fine”. Released on Monday on Enhanced Recordings, “I Feel Fine” is an uplifting melodic trance number that has already featured on Above and Beyond’s Record of the Week and Web Vote Winner.

Estiva is a new and up coming talent, aged just 22, his Production debut was only 3 years ago and recently he has released some excellent stuff, particularly another melodic Trance track “Les Fleurs” plus a superb remix of Skytech’s “Cardboard Box”.

Trance Classics – Binary Finary – 1998

The late 90′s, what an era in Trance music, some of the best trance tunes ever made were around this time and Binary Finary’s 1998 was one of them. A superb, uplifting melody that builds and builds into what is just a timeless trance classic. Remixed by Gouryella, Paul Van Dyk and Matt Darey as well re-released as 1999 and 2000 but for me, nothing beats the Original.

House Classics – Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley – The Word Is Love

Another Old Classic, back from the old Chicago days when House was first being born. I first heard the track when I watched the House Music Documentary on Youtube, where Steve Hurley is being interviewed and is showing some tricks he uses on the turntables. I love the bassline and the vocals, superb stuff!
