Trance Classics – Solar Stone – Solarcoaster
Oct 21st
I first heard this track when I downloaded one of Tiesto’s 2002 sets from Amnesia about 5/6 years ago which featured this song as well as Paul Oakenfold’s Southern Sun and a number of other superb tracks.
Solarcoaster is a stunning, gentle uplifting track, with it’s soft female vocals and melodies makes it a great song to listen to when the sun sets over Ibiza, or just any time! Seven Cities is also another great tune from the English producer.
Trance Classic – Ayla – Ayla (DJ Taucher Remix)
Oct 14th
Another classic trance track from the late 90′s (1997). A legendary track produced by German Ingo Kunzi – the name “Ayla” was inspired by the name of a girl in the studio during his first recording, and er, not the hebrew meaning which is “mighty oak tree”, in Turkish it means radiance or aura of the moon.
Anyway, back to the track, as with any timeless classic in the series, it’s hard to describe and do it justice as to how good it is. DJ Taucher’s Remix was the most successful, but it was also remixed by Veracocha.
Ayla’s all-time top 5 tracks are:
Odysee Of Noises – Firedance
Energy52 – Cafe del Mar
Cosmic Baby – Space Track
Cygnus X – Orange Theme
William Orbit – Adagio For Strings
Trance Classic – Veracocha – Carte Blanche
Oct 6th
Veracoche, the alias of top Dutch Trance producers Vincent De Moor and Ferry Corsten produced this timeless classic in arguable the best era of the Trance genre – the late 90′s.
“Carte Blanche” reached number 22 in the UK singles charts and it’s synthetic melody, plus the added piano notes together with that uplifting beat make it an unforgetable trance track.
Trance Classics – Binary Finary – 1998
Sep 21st
The late 90′s, what an era in Trance music, some of the best trance tunes ever made were around this time and Binary Finary’s 1998 was one of them. A superb, uplifting melody that builds and builds into what is just a timeless trance classic. Remixed by Gouryella, Paul Van Dyk and Matt Darey as well re-released as 1999 and 2000 but for me, nothing beats the Original.
Trance Classics – Nalin & Kane – Beachball
Sep 11th
The second Trance Classic in the Series. Nalin and Kane’s fantastic ‘Beachball’ track from 1997, the perfect song to listen to when relaxing at the beach.
It has that constant progressive house melodic beat, with gentle balearic sounds and superb vocals. It’s a timeless classic, it’ll be never be forgotten or ignored, even 12 years on, it still gets remixed and sampled today, but the original is the only worth listening to, ever.
Trance Classics – Energy 52 – Cafe Del Mar
Sep 6th
The first Trance track in the series of Trance Classics is Three N One’s Remix of Energy 52 – ‘Cafe Del Mar’, released in 1997. One of my favourite all-time trance tracks, that defines what trance really is.
