New Trance Tracks
Octagen vs MIDOR – Thesis (RENOISE Remix)
May 7th
Another new track in my Top 10 list is the RENOISE Remix of Octagen vs MIDOR – Thesis, which currently tops the Beatport trance charts ahead of Tritonal’s Piercing Quiet.
RENOISE adds a whole new sound and feel to the main melody which lasts during a long middle-break.
Tritonal feat. Cristina Sota – Piercing Quiet
May 7th
A new entry to my top 10 list this week, Tritonal have again released another stunning vocal track and it’s no surprise that already it’s #2 in the Beatport Trance charts.
The American duo have been with a number of releases this year such as Daybreak, Lunarium, Lights over Austin, Northern Aura and have continued their trend of uplifting vocal trance with ‘Piercing Quiet’, which has everything from excellent vocals from Cristina Sota to an uplifting melody.
Piercing Quiet has recently been released on Flashover Recordings on beatport
Jan Oostdyk – Out Of The Box (Tech Trance)
May 7th
Out of the Box by Jan Oostdyk is a superb uplifting tech trance track that has featured on episode 400 of Armin Van Buuren’s A state of trance radio show, Sied Van Riel played it during his set at Godskitchen Birmingham.
You can buy the track at Armada downloads
The intro builds into it’s peak, uplifting melody before the thrilling bassline kicks off again to get a dancefloor rocking.
Listen to the track below, as Sied Van Riel plays my former Track of the week ‘Breakfast – Remember’ before unleashing ‘Out of the Box’ at Godskitchen Birmingham.
John O’Callaghan – Never Fade Away (Album)

“Find Yourself” is by far my favourite track of the album, other hits include ‘Surreal’, a new version of ‘Big Sky’, plus a track with Aly & Fila – ‘Megalithic’.

Aly & Fila’s remix of Vast Vision’s ‘Everything’ has featured on radio shows and gigs since the start of the year and the 4-track EP is finally released after months of waiting on ‘Future Sounds of Egypt’ Recordings.

Tune of the Week – John O’Callaghan – Find Yourself
Apr 21st
The first in a new feature on the site, my tune of the week – the best track I’ve downloaded or heard each week.
This week it’s John O’Callaghan’s Find Yourself. Another vocal trance track from the Irishman and the Cosmic Gate remix has already had plays on the A State of Trance radio show. I prefer the original as I really enjoy the vocals by Sarah Howells.
It’ll be released in May 2009 along with O’Callaghan’s new album – “Never Fade Away”. The track is the album opener and also features previous hot vocal releases such as Surreal and the hugely successful Big Sky.

Rafael Frost – Red
Mar 31st
An awesome new release from Rafael Frost, who dedicates this song to his girlfriend, Red’s her favourite colour, and now possibly her favourite track!?
I’ve been waiting ages for this to get released as it’s had loads of plays on a State of Trance, Markus Schulz’s Global Broadcast etc. Also includes a remix by Ferry Corsten, but I prefer the original.
