This week’s favourite tune is Ping Pong by Arnej. The Canadian producer releases a slamming, uplifting trance track with an electro-ish bassline, check it out: Another good track by Arnej lately is Arnej vs. 8 Wonders – The Crossover.
Another classic Trance track to enjoy. A timeless classic by English producer Steve Helstrip. Synaesthesia was released in 1998 when Trance was growing and growing and becoming hugely popular amongst the Electronic Dance scene. It was remixed by well-known Dutch DJ Ferry Corsten which is the version we all know and love. A true Trance classic.
Deskee’s “World Domination” is a good feeling funky house track with a catchy bassline but with some rather unnecessary male vocals really, that don’t really add anything to the track. Still, it’s catchy and it’s new in my top 10 chart.
Released on December 11th 2009 on Risque Recordings, it’s available on the “Electro Disco – The Annual House Mix: 2010″ CD album.
I’m never been the biggest fan of Electro House, I’ve always liked my house more funky with good vocals rather than having quick snippets of vocal samples etc but this track from Alex Kidd (USA) is quite different and it’s a great track to open a set with.
Everyone would have heard the sample he uses, but it’s looped and cut up over a synthy bassline that I’m sure will go down well on the dancefloor.

The Bomb is probably one of the most well-known classic house tracks from the 90′s. Using a simple vocal sample “Street sounds swirling through my mind…” the Bucketheads, is Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez, who is also one half of Masters of Work, another very popular house name.
The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall into My Mind) has an addictable bassline and funky beat and it’s still sampled to this day.
The original is a massive 14 minutes 51 seconds long!
My favourite tune at the moment is Robbie Rivera’s “We Live For the Music”. I think it’s one of those peak time tracks that’ll go down great in a club and I’ll definitely be playing it out for the first time at my next gig on December 19th.
You can buy the full length DJ friendly version at amazon.co.uk for just £0.69 – bargain if you ask me! Click the link below to preview and buy.
A new entry to my top 10 list this week, Tritonal have again released another stunning vocal track and it’s no surprise that already it’s #2 in the Beatport Trance charts.
The American duo have been with a number of releases this year such as Daybreak, Lunarium, Lights over Austin, Northern Aura and have continued their trend of uplifting vocal trance with ‘Piercing Quiet’, which has everything from excellent vocals from Cristina Sota to an uplifting melody.
Piercing Quiet has recently been released on Flashover Recordings on beatport
Born Da Funk have recently released a rework of their 2005 track ‘You Rock Da House’ and it’s an excellent funky tune to feature in your mixes or just to listen to.
You can download the original 2009 mix as well as a number of other remixes at AudioJelly here
A new Tune of the Week will also be posted up on the site on Monday.
