mr fingersHouse Music started in Chicago in the 1980′s, before I was even born, inspired by Disco music with Soul and Funk sounds. DJ’s began to use the sounds of disco to develop a new genre, using samples and using a bass beat (kick drum) to create a new sound. You really have to go back to when House was first being produced to appreciate proper 100% Classic House.

The First Classic House song I ever heard was Mr Fingers – Can You Feel It, released 22 years ago in 1987, same year I was born. I can’t imagine the amount of times this song has been sampled since then!

I believe Larry Heard aka Mr. Fingers, sampled Chuck Roberts words of  “In the Beginning There Was Jack…” in his track.

These Geniuses in Chicago, developed a new genre that has inspired dance music of today.
