Tune of the Week – Tensnake – Coma Cat
Aug 7th
Tensnake – Coma Cat, released earlier in the year but only now have I come across this beauty. “Coma Cat” has an older disco-house style to it, but it’s blend of vocal samples, and cowbell, piano sounds just combine into a superb chilled out house track. I’ve always preferred the older, more purer house sound, and this brings it back but it’s still fresh and is a potential classic. I love it!!
New Trance/House Video Mix
Jul 10th
A brand New 10-minute Video Mix, with a mix of Trance and House, starting with Stoneface & Terminal – Moment, before kicking into Tiesto’s remix of Tweak Your Nipple by Faithless, before finishing with one of the biggest House tracks of the Year – Swedish House Mafia – One.
I’ve recently bought an Imac, so I can finally record video and audio together, so there’ll be a lot more video mixes coming soon.

Tune of the Week – Dash Berlin – Janeiro (Dash Berlin 4AM Mix)
May 21st
Dash Berlin, the Dutch producer famous for tracks such as the huge Man On The Run and Till The Sky Falls Down releases “Janeiro” with rather cheesy vocals (considering it’s trance) from Solid Sessions, but the 4AM mix has a big trance lead, and is still a track I’m sure to be played massively amongst the scene.
Tune of the Week – J C – Free (Stonebridge Re-Fx)
May 10th
One of those funky, uplifting bangers that catches your attention as soon as you hear it. A Funky tune with a filtered, FX vocal sample but with a electro feel to it as well. Sure to be big this Summer.
Here’s Armada’s description of the release:
“Summer has hit the speakers, with Free as its soundtrack. A chunky, funky, happy-go-lucky type of house tune from the John Carr studio. J-C brought big room to the next level, with cheeky use of filters, faders and loads of other sound-effects. Free makes the speakers go more than just boom, it shocks them with all the right vibes to fire the crowd.
Mister Stoney Boy himself, StoneBridge, added his touch to Free, making it extra smooth and flowing. Free has peak time written all over!”
Deadmau5 – Some Chords
May 9th
It’s been a while since I liked a Deadmau5 release, but he’s back on form with this Electro House banger – “Some Chords” which is top of the Beatport charts.
Deadmau5 seems to be like marmite, either you love him or hate him. I enjoyed his early releases such as Not Exactly, my favourite from him, but I haven’t enjoyed many other of his tracks since. The Reward is Cheese and Ghosts n’ Stuff were good though.
The haters will hate it no doubt, but I think it’s a decent electro house that will go down well on the dancefloor. Nothing special like his early tracks, but decent none-the-less.
Tune of the Week – The Black Project – Off The Wall
Feb 28th
Another Funky House tune from the Black Project. “In The Disco” and “Wonder” are other great tunes by them, “Off The Wall” features a Michael Jackson sample together with a funky bassline.
